On paper, this year’s edition of the Wolverines looks very formidable. The Mike Hamilton led squad proved it, roaring back with four wins in five matches after dropping four straight to begin the Eastern Split.
Leading the team on the Open side are returning vets Haddow Thul (6-6 in six matches), Joel Pelletier (9-3 in six matches) and former Northern Roller Jonas Dahler (9-3 in six matches). On the Female side, the Wolverines are well-complemented by 10th overall pick Sabrina Lam (6-10 in eight matches), 17th overall pick Natalie Araya (2-8 in five matches) and 24th overall selection Sarah Dufour (5-5 in five matches).
The Wolverines signature match of the Eastern Split was a come-from-behind 3-1 triumph against the 5-4 Southwestern Ontario Brewers in their second-last match.
