The London Smash are keeping their core intact as they charge into the C4 season of the Canadian National Pickleball League (CNPL), officially announcing the re-signing of Ryan Torresin and Jessica Kawamoto.
Torresin and Kawamoto, the deadliest mixed duo in CNPL history, were major contributors to the Smash’s success throughout the 2025 campaign, bringing a mix of consistency, chemistry, and competitive fire that made them staples of the London lineup.
Ryan Torresin, one of the CNPL’s most steady and strategic players, returns as a key figure in the Smash’s men’s rotation. Known for his court IQ, control, and calm under pressure, Torresin provides both leadership and poise to a team always in the playoff mix.
On the women’s side, Jessica Kawamoto re-signs after a breakout 2025 season that saw her emerge as one of the league’s most dynamic and dependable players. Her quick reflexes and fearless net play were pivotal to London’s success in tight matches, and her continued growth promises even more impact in C4.
“Ryan and Jessica represent everything the Smash stand for; grit, teamwork, and consistency,” said the Smash’s owner Ed Sater. “They’ve been pillars of our culture, and having them both back is a huge win for our organization.”
With two core veterans locked in, the London Smash are setting the tone early for C4, a season that’s shaping up to be the most competitive in CNPL history.
