The York Yeti are proud to announce the signing of Victoria DiMuzio as Head Coach for the 2026 CNPL season.
This is what a full-circle moment looks like.
The CNPL Foundation
Victoria DiMuzio was drafted 8th overall by the Southwestern Ontario Brewers (now the York Yeti) in the 2024 CNPL Draft. Her rookie season was dominant:
- 26 matches played, 16 wins (67% win percentage)
- 8 Player of the Match awards
- Best career CNPL winning percentage for a female
- Helped lead the Brewers to the playoffs, finishing second
But Victoria wasn’t satisfied. She wanted more.
Going Pro
In late 2024, Victoria made a bold decision: she moved to Delray Beach, Florida, went full-time professional, and committed everything to the sport.
In early 2025, she signed exclusively with the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) Tour. Then came the Major League Pickleball (MLP) Draft, where she was selected 11th overall by the Atlanta Bouncers.
In her first season on tour, Victoria has already earned a Top 35 world ranking, firmly establishing herself among the sport’s elite competitors. Analysts have called her one of the breakout player candidates for 2025.
Coming Home as a Coach
Now, Victoria is returning to the league where it all started—but this time, as Head Coach of the York Yeti.
What makes this unique: Victoria isn’t a retired player transitioning to coaching. She’s an active professional competing at the highest level in North America. She trains daily alongside the best players in the world and competes on the PPA Tour and in MLP.
She knows what it takes to prepare for elite competition because she’s doing it every day. And she knows the CNPL—she’s played in these venues, competed against these teams, and understands what it takes to succeed in this league.
What Victoria Brings
Elite-Level Experience: Victoria trains in Delray Beach and competes on the PPA Tour and in MLP. The insights she brings from that environment will be invaluable.
Proven Development: Her DUPR skyrocketed from 4.33 to Top 35 in the world in just over a year. She knows how to improve rapidly.
Championship Mindset: As the top Canadian woman in the 2024 CNPL season, Victoria knows how to win under pressure.
The York Yeti Vision
With ownership led by former NHL players Cody Hodgson and T.J. Brodie, the Yeti are building a franchise rooted in elite athletic experience and championship culture. Adding Victoria as Head Coach reinforces that vision.
The Yeti have locked in Ava Kalist, Kyle Hermetz, and Audrey Yeung, with three draft picks remaining. Victoria will play a key role in evaluating talent, building chemistry, and preparing the roster for the 2026 season.
What’s Next
Victoria will continue competing on the PPA Tour and with the Atlanta Bouncers in MLP while serving as Head Coach for the York Yeti. It’s a demanding schedule, but if anyone can handle it, it’s someone who turned herself into a Top 35 player in the world in just over a year.
The 2026 CNPL season kicks off May 9-10 in Oakville. Welcome to the Yeti family, Victoria. Let’s build something special.
